How to Cold Steep Tea in Milk
Have you ever cold steeped tea? In milk or a milk alternative, like oat milk or almond milk? Isn’t playing with tea (or food) so much fun? It’s like the part of being an adult that is magical. Do I want to eat just the icing on a cake? YES. Can I? YES!
Sometimes it’s the little things that are best in life. Like cold steeping tea in milk (or mylk or milk like products), oat milk is my current favourite milk alternative, especially for cold steeping tea in.
Here’s what I do:
Step 1: Pour approx 1 cup (250 ml) of your milk into a jar
Step 2: Add in about 2 Tbsps (30 ml) of your tea of choice
Step 3: Add a lid and shake!
Step 4: Leave in the fridge for 6+ hours (shake whenever you’re in there getting a snack)
Step 5: Strain milk into a glass with ice
Step 6: Enjoy!
Here’s a video of me making a DAVIDsTEA S’mores Chai Iced Latte this way, it tastes like a creamy smooth milk shake (starts around the 9 min mark of this video). So yummy!
